The Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center (or DARCC) celebrates ten years with a new fundraising campaign to encourage consistent monthly donations. The Crisis Center provides three services: preventative education, crisis intervention (including a 24 hour crisis hotline for victims to call in and hospital visitation), as well as post-trauma counseling and legal advocacy. The Crisis Center is the only non-profit in North Texas that directly addresses sexual trauma with one-to-one counseling. Their goal with this video was to introduce their services to a larger audience and finish with a call to action: contribute on a regular monthly basis for sustainable growth.
Filmed in August during a lull in COVID-19 over fifteen interviews were recorded throughout the span of two days. The interviews were then stitched together to completely and succinctly summarize the mission of the Crisis Center.
